    Electronic cigarettes have become popular over the last couple of years and have appealed to many different groups of people. These cigarettes are supposed to have lesser medical side effects but still have look and feel of an actual cigarette, cigar, or pipe. These cigarettes create very polarizing opinions. Some individuals hail this new device as a great breakthrough for cigarette smokers. As more and more places ban smoking, this new type of cigarette would allow a smoker to do so at their pleasure virtually anywhere.

    It has none of the second hand smoke that has negative side effects. To the smoker, it still offers the taste, smell, and nicotine of the usual tobacco device. This device can also be used to help smokers quit in a couple of different ways. There is also a group of individuals that is strongly opposed to the new electronic cigarettes. There is a couple of main issues that is concerning to this group. One is that the medical issues are so strongly stated that there may be another risk involved that is not being told straightforward.

    Another main concern is the fact that with these cigarettes being “healthier” for the human body, more people who would otherwise not smoker would begin. The nostalgia of smoking may appeal to more people, primarily children and teenagers. Both the United States and the United Kingdom have put laws into place regarding these electronic smoking devices. They are there to protect both smokers and non-smokers. These cigarettes are changing an industry and lifestyles for many.
