Have you been suffering from horrible allergies related to dust or mold and can’t seem to shake them? Try installing a central vacuum cleaner system into your house; allergic homeowners all over have enjoyed much sought after relief after making this simple fix. Central systems are much better at cleaning your house than portable vacuum models, and are wonderful for cleaning all of the dust and mold particles out of your air to leave you with a truly clean home.

Dust and mold particles are particularly difficult to clean up using a standard portable vacuum cleaner because of how airflow is handled. Standard portable vacuums suck in air through the hose as part of the cleaning process, which is then cycled through a filter or bag in the machine and blown back out into the room through vents in the side. Unfortunately many filters or vacuum bags do not adequately filter out common allergens, and simply end up blowing them back up into the air to be inhaled as you clean, further aggravating your allergies. However, a central vacuum system sucks the air along with the dirt and dust particles down into the basement or another room where it is filtered and vented away from you and your living quarters. Not only is the exhaust air vented away from you, but the additional power of central systems ensures that more particles are cleaned up to begin with. Rather than breathing in vacuum exhaust, you are left with a spotless room and clean, dust-free air to breath.

So if you are tired of suffering from dust or mold allergies it may be worth your while to consider investing in a different vacuum to really clean your carpet and floors rather than just stirring up the dust. Central systems are more expensive than portable models, but often use less power and extend the lifetime of your floors, thus saving you money in the long run. Investing in a permanent housing appliance also raises the value of your home, too. In the end many people find these benefits and breathing freely are often more than enough to offset any initial costs.
